Read the winning poems from October's Writing Challenge!
The October Writing Challenge from the Southern Christian Writers Conference was to write a poem using one of these two titles--"Darkness and Light" or "Faith Over Fear." October can sometimes be identified by fearful images and, as the days grow longer, darkness can impinge on the light. But, we wanted to celebrate that light and faith always emerge; we think that you'll find the images and messages in the winning poems below to be especially creative and inspiring. We are overwhelmed each month by the number and variety of submissions we receive to our writing challenges and, as always, we wish we could acknowledge everyone who submitted with some sort of award. Please know, though, that all of the poems received were excellent. You should be commended for your wonderful writing!
