 ... and read the winning stories below.                             The Southern Christian Writers Conference's September Writing Challenge was to write a community-based story. We challenged our writers to think about a community's people, places, sights, and experiences. Profile a local person, tell the history of a landmark, explore a tradition, or write about an organization doing interesting work...the possibilities for this challenge were endless. We received so many wonderful responses to the challenge and are excited to share our top selections with you.
