And read their winning entries below! The Southern Christian Writers Conference's June writing challenge was to write a personal essay about a joy you've experienced along your writing journey. The challenge was partly a response to the wonderful time we had at the annual SCWC gathering in June; we saw so many people celebrating the JOY of being a writer and we want to always encourage our fellow creatives of the joyful experience writing can be. We received a slew of wonderful essays in response to the challenge, and wish that we could recognize everyone (if you entered the challenge...thank you!); we are happy to recognize the essays that rose to the top.
