We accept submissions for Anchored from any interested writers, and love especially to feature members of the Southern Christian Writers Conference community (whether they've attended our annual conference or other workshop, or are simply involved in our online groups).
We publish personal essays (true stories!), poems, and short fictional stories that focus on
our issue’s theme. For our Spring issue--”Planting Seeds”--think about all the ways people
plant seeds (literally and figuratively) then tell us a true story from your own experiences or
create a fictional story of any genre (mystery, romance, etc.--you decide) or write a poem
that fits the theme. You can interpret the theme in any way you see fit. Use your creativity!
Our essays, stories, and poems are written by Christian writers with a positive, inspiring
tone.
Please limit your essays and short stories to 1200 words maximum; poems can be any length
and of any style.
We also include advertisements by writers and other creative folks! Prices are as low as $15, and you can reach thousands with your work! (If you're interested, email us at scwritersconference@gmail.com with "Anchored Ads" in the subject line.)
The Spring issue will be published on March 5, and the deadline to submit is Feb. 10. Please send your essay, short story or poem to scwritersconference@gmail.com with "Anchored Spring" in the subject line.
