The Fall issue of Anchored is here
We'd love for you to check out the newest edition of Anchored--the digital magazine written by members of the Southern Christian Writers Conference.
The issue features personal essays, short stories, and poems around the theme of "Go Team!"; it includes pieces by Ed Beam, Angela Chambers, Shirley Crowder, Aimee Graham, Sandra Hartlieb, Karen Huffaker, April McCay, Reese Morgan, Marla Price, and Shelley Terry.

We accept submissions for Anchored from any interested writers, and love especially to feature members of the Southern Christian Writers Conference community (whether they've attended our annual conference or other workshop, or are simply involved in our online groups).
We publish personal essays (true stories!), poems, and short fictional stories that focus on our issue’s theme. For our upcoming Winter issue issue--”The Best Gift”--think about gifts as they relate to the Christmas season or about their meaning in other aspects of your life, or write a poem that fits the theme. You can interpret the theme in any way you see fit. Use your creativity!
Our essays, stories, and poems are written by Christian writers with a positive, inspiring tone. They don't have to be overtly Christian nature, but we do want them to be encouraging or entertaining in some way. Please limit your essays and short stories to 1200 words maximum; poems can be any length and of any style.
We also include advertisements by writers and other creative folks! Prices are as low as $15, and you can reach thousands with your work! (If you're interested, email us at scwritersconference@gmail.com with "Anchored Ads" in the subject line.)
The Winter issue will be published on December 5, and the deadline to submit is November 10. Please send your essay, short story or poem to scwritersconference@gmail.com with "Anchored Winter" in the subject line.
